Hello BOLD One.

Hello B🔴LD One.

Ah, it feels GREAT to be back.

Thanks for hanging in here with me as I chose to let this blog rest…

… while we all figured out how to stay on our feet – or get back on track – or bounce back to being on top of our game… or simply tried to stay healthy and sane… or realized it’s time to create a brand new lane…

… after the uncertainties of that pandemic year called 2020, which crept into 2021.

I hope you are well. Are you?

And just like that – as I came here to share with you my excitement for this full-circle feeling, as I’ve circled my work back to the passionate place I began in the mid-90’s: Inspiring BOLD.

Hello B🔴LD One is my fresh approach to inspiring the positive impact of leading and living BOLDly

(even in that moment – especially in that moment – when it’s easier not to.)

I’m excited to speak at inspirational conferences, meetings and live events again soon.

AND yet.

Just as we’re getting back together live again (hasn’t it felt SO GOOD to be back out there, in person, hanging out with not-zoomed people again?!)

AIYIYI.

At this writing, I’m reading updates on the pandemic once again rearing its ugly head, this time as the Delta variant. I cannot stand the idea that everything we’ve gained in trying to beat it may now be going backwards. Let’s hope not.

Keep dreaming your biggest BOLDest dreams for leading & living the life YOU crave.

Dreams really do come true!

Every Olympic Athlete reminds us of this truth, simply by their presence in Tokyo.

Don’t worry about the outcome.

Do the work.

Enjoy the process.

Stay as patient as you are perseverant.

Good things come your way when you do!

It feels GREAT to be back speaking to inspire the positive impact of leading and living BOLDly.

If you or someone you know is booking their best-fit speaker for an upcoming conference, meeting or event, I’d so appreciate your suggesting they reach me to start a new conversation.

Stay Inspired. Stay BOLD. Keep Going!

And I will, too.

Please Don’t Spare Us The Details

“I’ll spare you the details.”

“Long story short.”

“Story for another day.”

And here we are… women self-stifling, not sharing our stories.

And we wonder why we start feeling invisible?

Please don’t spare us the details.

We want to hear your stories. We want to know you. The real you.

Not the you who trains herself to be the best listener… shielding herself while earning a pass from the effort it takes to let others in.

Life IS stories.

So maybe today’s just not the day – or maybe these aren’t the people.

Fair enough.

For some reason this wanted to be written today…

I’m considering this my note to self as I crave getting together with friends again… outside under pretty umbrellas on breezy patios again… after this still-surreal season of creepy covid carefulness.

Let’s not spare each other the details, k?

Real conversation is sexy.

Just like you.

KEEP BECOMING TOTALLY YOU,

And I will, too.

Guilty Pleasure

photo-12On a recent flight home, I broke the golden rule of being a good seatmate:

I interrupted the reading-immersed woman sitting next to me.

Noticing she had not come up for air since firing up her ereader, I asked if she always preferred reading digital books.

I mentioned still loving to curl up with my ink-doodled piles of books vs holding my hard metal iPad.

Her comment will forever crack me up:

*If I were reading a business book like you, I’d have no problem holding that book in my lap for all the world to see…*

She continued, *I’m reading the 3rd book in the 50 Shades of Grey series… I’m traveling with my team and believe me I don’t need anyone to know what book I’m devouring… it’s my secret guilty pleasure.*

The look in her eyes told me she sure hoped I didn’t know anyone on her team!
